We need more union shops! Does anyone know why we can not get more Shops in Oklahoma City to go union? Any of you guys ever hear of “Metropolitan” Heating and Air conditioning? They are a small shop in OKC that just went union not long ago. Look at EPCO Mechanical another small shop that has been Union for a while now. Seriously… what is it going to take to sell the 344 to non-union contractors?

This don’t have anything to do with labor other than it saves you time from cleaning your computer manually. Simplicity is part of its charm, there is nothing to install and it’s free. Read the system requirements and use at your own risk.

The next shiny new thing has my attention right at the moment.

As I’ve said before, I had high hopes for this site, unfortunately my promotion of it , as well as your efforts too, have fallen on deaf ears. It seems that, as I suspected, there is big epidemic of ‘who gives a shit’ running rampant through our local.

We had some steady traffic for awhile, right up until I posted the survey… then it fell away at about the same time. I’m not sure why. Maybe summer being upon us has played a part.

Anyway, I’ve moved on to hopefully greener pastures. The site will stay live, I peek in very regularly. Maybe over time it will start picking back up. But I won’t be expending much energy on a site only 3or4 guys are participating in.

All y’all should have my most secret prized email address by now. I’ll happily discuss issues with you that way, if you want. Please don’t fill it up with jokes and forwards… use the yahoo address for that.

who went to the union meeting? did we get a raise?

The meeting only lasted about 30 minutes. Darren and Tommy were not there, they were in a negotiating meeting… no news available on raises

I’ve heard so many different rumors on raises, I’m not going to repeat any of it here. The BIG news is that Beth got fired last week. Something about misuse of union funds.

Beth was fired for using 344 credit card for personal use, I have been told that she needed food for home,Her x-hubbie took all her money and split leaving her in a bind.This x- hubbie is a member of 344. beth is a smart woman I think there is more to her firing than missuse of local funds. Any who i would like to hear her side of the story, before i come to any conclussion on her and this matter..

I was told that we are asking for three dollars a year for three years. This info came from a member on the negociating commetty. sorry for misspelled words admin.

All of the members that got help from Beth ( above and beyond her job duties) should start a fund to help her out. I bet it would be enough for several loads of groceries. I too would like to hear more and talk to her. She was the best we have had in there.
Seems like we are starting to have some secrecy issues and closed door deals. Brings back memories of the late 80’s.

I’ve been with the same woman longer than “She” was married and I have a credit score of 972. I take care of all the bills, my business and we live within our means. We don’t have any joint loans or accounts. “She” is old enough to not be naive.

No one wants to accept the responsibility for their actions any more. Maybe someone will bring up her termination at the meeting we are having on the 30th. “She” had a good job and there were a heck of a lot of us un-employed scraping by for months! my health insurance ran out because of lack of work!
