Open House And Open To Suggestions
Take a quick look around. Upper left is the calendar. If you click through to February, you’ll see the next union meeting is loaded up in there. Almost anything can be added to the calendar.
Still on the left side, next is a little blurb about the site and it’s purpose. Decided to add that because the original post that talks about the purpose will eventually fade away.
Next are some rss feeds for different sites. Currently there is the Building Trades, AFL-CIO, Commuincate or Die, Union Review, and Joes Union Review. They all have some interesting union related info from time to time.
If anybody knows of any others that should be added let me know. I’ve got plenty more I’m currently keeping an eye on and may be adding later.
That brings up something else I’ve thought of… if you need technical assistance I can probably help you out. I can help with Facebook, Twitter, Myspace etc. I can show you how to keep up with multiple rss feeds easily and quickly without wasting a lot of time. I know lots of tricks.
If the interest is there, I can even put some videos up on here showing how to do a lot of this stuff and anything else technical y’all may be interested in… just let me know.
That’s about it for now. I’m still looking at what else can be added… will probably be adding a survey feature in the near future, take some surveys and see what y’all are interested in.

I don’t think a chat room would work. Most of the time the visitors here are one at a time spread throughout the day.
As traffic picks up and more members are visiting regularly, I might put in a forum… that would make communication a little easier. Members could post their own info/questions without waiting to comment on my posts.
The other option, is to request to made an author for this site… this option is open to any verified member of Local 344. Then you can post articles and engage the visitors in topics of interest to to you.
On topic, topics, that is.
