I see that other people have asked the same question I did. If the plumbers would have stood with them the shop may have been forced to have a union SM shop but since the SM workers are not already union members I am not sure how that would have worked out. You guys know there is a shop in our local with the same scenario don't you? There are also shops in our union that subcontract SM work to non-union shops. I hope that the SM local#359 can bring those guys in and find them some work. Is there a way we can do a follow up? I'm going to try to stay up to date with this story for a while. Wow!
