Hey members of 344 what can we do to boost new work projects here in Okc. Seems to me alot of projects have been put on hold.Or is that a ploy by the contractors,to bargain with at next contract negiotations.Just a thought anyone have an answer?

Had this very discussion two times today… it seems very suspicious.

Sure we can ask… I can’t see it happening, but that’s just me.

I have a question.
I heard today that Chrysler is going to file bankruptcy (GM probably too) and that the government is going to give a large portion of control to the UAW,larger than what they actually have. Of course the private investors are going to lose money, but hell who cares about that.
Now I’ve always bought Fords ever since I started driving. (just a personal preference)and Ford is not presently taking government money. (Here’s hoping they can keep holding out).
My question is this: Do I have to go out and buy a GM or Chrysler now that they are going to be run by the UAW or will my Ford still be good enough? I remember back in the day when it was implied that you better not drive a Japanese car onto the Union Hall or apprenticeship grounds,or it might not leave in the same condition it came.
Since I have never owned a foreign car or truck, I thought I was being a good union man. I have never really cared for the products that GM and Chrsler made, but you know I don’t want to be considered a “bad” union member.
Just thought I’d check.

I have a question.

Is that sarcasm I detect in your keyboard?

phill_up @ 9:48 pm

I have always driven GM products but Ford has really started to appeal to me, especially with the service vans. I also like the fact that Ford didn’t have to have any help. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ford didn’t gain a new following.

Since this is a place to just put your feelings out there, I’ll add to this comment but in a more polite manner. I have nothing to say to blundell and I don’t want to hear anything he has to say.

When I want the skinny on something I always call Chris. The O’Donnell guy seems like a decent guy also.
