When it came time to renew the license i forgot and was never sent a letter telling me it was time to renew. So Ihad to take the test to get a new license.when i came back to OKC. which i think is a crock of bs.I have worked in four or five different states and they didn't require a state license.When the license started our B.M. at the time said it would be a good deal for us,cause non unoin contractors would have a hard time getting people who could pass the test. Non union contractors are getting people and they are paying them to take the test and paying for their license and test fees. which in our case we have to pay for it out of our pockets. That was the National Electrical Code 2008 I saw. The 1996 International Mechanical Code is as far back as I remember. The journeyman's test in 1996 had a 70% fail rate.
